Amazon hopes to track your sleep habits on the radar


Google son Nest Hub may not be the only device that monitors your sleep using radar. Bloomberg reports Owned by Amazon received An FCC waiver that allows the use of 60GHz radar for sleep monitoring. As with Google technology, you can check for sleep problems without wearing a device like this Halo group.

This technology can also be used for gesture navigation, especially for people with mobility or speech impairments that prevent them from using traditional commands. Amazon did not hesitate to compare with Google – citing the company Pixel 4s radar when requesting a waiver.

Amazon did not give many hints about the products that will use radar tracking, but described the devices as “non-mobile”. In other words, there is more likely to be Echo devices watching your rest from the chest of drawers.

It’s not clear when Amazon will be able to ship the radar-powered device, although the latest Echo Show shows that you can wait a while when it’s launched without this equipment.

Amazon has strong incentives to update the device line. Competing with Google, the internet giant Halo is giving a big boost to health between services Amazon Pharmacy.
