If you want a Google phone for the budget, but want something more powerful than the existing Pixel line, don’t despair. Amazon sells 64GB Pixel 4 just for $ 400, With B&H Photo compliance this price. This is the lowest rate ever for a former flagship, making it more profitable than the new one Pixel 4a 5G – It is worth thinking that processing power is more important than the latest wireless technology.
You can get the 128GB version at a discount on both sites, while B&H is currently offering a better offer of $ 430 against Amazon’s $ 470.
There are some caveats. The Pixel 4 is about two years old, so it won’t get any more Android updates (Android 12 is one of them). This is definitely the case with battery life and screen brightness. And Google’s Motion Sense gesture feature has never been canceled – it’s a nice bonus, but it’s not something you use every day.
In return, it could be a better value than the existing Pixel 4a and 5 models, especially premium Pixel 6 most likely on the horizon. For slower, generally less capable phones, you get a much faster device with a more or less smooth screen and still excellent cameras. As long as you can live with the strangeness, you can get a better overall experience.
